PHNOM KULEN TOURS
Private Phnom Kulen Motorbike Tour
Into the Kulen highlands by motorbike, where dirt trails lead to ancient temples and stone-carved elephants beyond the main roads.
On the back of a motorbike with a local guide, the paved road gives way to red dirt tracks within minutes. Deep in the Phnom Kulen highlands, temples carved into jungle cliffs and stone elephants emerge from the roots along trails most visitors never find. This is Kulen without the crowds or the car parks.
Description
The journey begins with a drive from Siem Reap to the base of Phnom Kulen, then continues on the back of a local’s motorbike into the jungle. Red dirt trails and unmarked paths lead to remote sites including Elephant Pond (Srah Damrei), hidden temples, and a sandstone cliff with open forest views.
This is the side of Kulen not seen from the road, known locally and still used by monks. At the end of the loop, you can cool off at a waterfall or visit the Thousand Lingas carved into the riverbed beneath the current.
